RTLS
Survey of real time location systems applied to museums.
The purpose was to give the visitor an individual and portable multimedia guide thus offering the possibility of a customized visit. The use of a tracking system in real time would make it possible to take out linear or nonlinear information specific to each visitor’s path. With this in mind the positioning must be precise enough, it defines the physical position of the visitor with the aim to find the closest cultural artifact.
