Façades
Façade is a revival of the popular photo booth. It’s a digital installation playing with projections, video mapping and controlled LED lighting. Participants can follow the instructions in the photo booth and mimic the facial expressions, such as joy, sadness, doubt, disgust, etc… After a short time lapse of about 2 minutes, the new face becomes available in the database. All the faces are used in real time to construct video projections on buildings based on a universal non-verbal language: the language of facial expression.
Façade was presented for the first time at the festival ça tchatche at Les Subsistances - Lyon.
